My Background

I'm currently the Club Professional at the Mooroopna Golf Club, near the town of Shepparton in Victoria. I turned professional in 2000 when I commenced my PGA Traineeship at the Flinders Golf Club in Victoria. Following my graduation in 2002 I moved to Alkmaar in the Netherlands where I taught at Golfbaan Sluispolder during the European Summer. On return to Australia I moved to Sydney in 2004 to continue my teaching career at the Monash Country Club. In early 2007 I returned to Melbourne and began as an Assistant Professional at the Rossdale Golf Club.

In June 2009 I started as the Club Professional of the Mooroopna Golf Club. Mooroopna Golf Club has approximately 300 golfing members and a fantastic par-73 golf course with santa ana couch fairways and small fast greens. For more information about the Golf Club, http://www.mooroopnagolfclub.com/.

Introduction

Every golf instructor in the world will tell you how simple their teaching method is. I'm no different in that sense but the game of golf is difficult and no-one masters it. Not even Tiger! Quick fixes and band-aid cures don't work. Classic quick fixes include 'Keep your head down', 'Keep your eyes on the ball' and 'Keep your head still,' but unfortunately these pearls of wisdom are not the reason you hit the bad shot or putt. Download the free E-Book 'Golf Concepts: Why they May Not Be Helping You' below for more information about these concepts and my teaching philosophy.

Your golf game is always a work in progress and your difficulties in the game, whether it is technical, physical or mental, are unique to the individual.

So if you are a golfer looking for long-term improvement with goals and dreams of becoming the best player you can, check out the 'Personalised Lesson Program' page. This program involves looking at your whole game and putting together plans based on your goals and the strengths and weaknesses of your game. To learn more about these tailor-made packages, click on the 'Personalised Lesson Programs' tab.

However, if you are a golfer in a slump and just want to play to your handicap on the weekend so you can win some money back off your friends, then a series of private lessons is the way to go. In these 30-minute or 1-hour lessons I will provide you with some key thoughts and feelings to help you in your next round and beyond.

Another option is the Playing Lesson where we head out on course and work on Course Management, Shot and Club Selection and Pre-Shot Routine to save you a few shots. Check out the 'Private Lessons' page for more details and prices.

If you are a beginner or new golfer then perhaps a group clinic is for you. The clinic environment is also perfect for the experienced golfer who wants to learn about the game without all the focus and attention of a private lesson. In a clinic you will be taught the basics of set-up including grip, stance, alignment, ball position and posture whilst learning how to hit a tee shot, iron shot, pitch shot, chip shot, bunker shot and putting. In addition I'll take the group on course and outline the essentials including rules and etiquette when playing the game. Check out the 'Group Lessons/Clinics' page for more information.

During my 11 years as a PGA Golf Professional I've taught all levels of golfers from beginners to elite players in their quest to become better players. With these experiences, endless research and tapping into the knowledge of some of the country's best coaches from a variety of sports, I have the tools to help you find 'Your Best Game.'

These are all world class players - but they all swing differently.

All their swings perform, why doesn't yours?
